Singapore is the family holiday that runs like clockwork. Everything is close, the metro is spotless, the food is excellent and there is something for every age, from theme parks to night-time zoos. Four nights is the sweet spot; it also pairs well with Malaysia or Bali.
What to see
Gardens by the Bay is the signature sight: the Supertree Grove, the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome conservatories, and a free light show among the Supertrees in the evening. Across the bay, Marina Bay Sands has the rooftop observation deck and a water-and-light show on the promenade.
Sentosa Island is a day of its own: Universal Studios, the aquarium, beaches and the cable car. The Mandai area has the Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise and the Night Safari, which children remember long after the trip.
For the city's character, walk through Little India, Chinatown and Kampong Glam, each with its own temples, shops and food.
Food in Singapore
Hawker centres are where Singapore eats, and the hawker culture is recognised by UNESCO. Try Hainanese chicken rice, laksa, satay and chilli crab. Little India has excellent South and North Indian food, and vegetarian meals are easy across the city.
Visa and arrival
Indian passport holders need a Singapore visa, applied for through authorised agents, and all visitors complete an online arrival card a few days before landing. We handle the visa application with your package and remind you about the arrival card.
Getting around and where to stay
The MRT metro reaches almost everything, and taxis and ride-hailing apps fill the gaps. Stay around Marina Bay or Orchard Road for the city, in Little India or Bugis for value, or on Sentosa for a resort stay with children.
Best time to visit Singapore
Singapore is warm and humid all year, with short tropical showers. February to April tends to be drier and sunnier. November to January is wetter, but year-end decorations and the school holidays make it busy anyway. Indoor attractions mean rain rarely spoils a day.

Singapore trip questions
Is Singapore good for kids?
It is one of the best family destinations in Asia: safe, clean, easy to get around and full of attractions for children.
Can I combine Singapore with Malaysia or Bali?
Yes. Kuala Lumpur is a short flight or a bus ride away, and Bali is about two and a half hours by air.
How many days are enough for Singapore?
Four nights covers the main sights at a relaxed pace. Three nights works if you skip either Sentosa or the zoo.
